Visscher Separators was present at the Vakbeurs Recycling at Gorinchem at 16th, 17th and 18th of November. This is the national exhibition on recycling technics and waste management.
Visscher Separators had a great stand where besides the Visscher Cutting Mill and the Micro Filter, the two Visscher Separator Systems were present. That meant that both the ZX065 Separator and the completely new Visscher Twin Separator had a nice spot in the stand.

The Twin Separator will be used in Costa Rica to press fibers of banana trees. Next, the pressed product will be used for the production of pallets.
Costa Rica is a big exporter of bananas, these bananas are shipped over the whole world by pallet. These pallets are normally made of wood, however, for these wooden pallets trees need to be logged. Now, a more sustainable solution has emerged: the producing of pallets using rest product of the banana production. It works as follows: after the harvesting of the bananas, the banana plants will be pressed dry to be used as the foot blocks for pallets.
Banana trees grow fast and consist out of tough fibers; therefore, a press is needed that can cope with this intensive usage. Conventional presses did not lead to the wanted results; the pressed product was not dry enough and the presses did wear down too quickly because of the intensive usage. The solution will be provided by Visscher Separators. The Twin Separator developed by Visscher Separators is, because of its built with two screw drives, perfectly suited for dry pressing the tough banana plant fibers. As a result, the pressed product will be much dryer. Besides, the Twin Separator will wear much slower than the conventional presses.

Many cubicles offer too little comfort, as a result the cow does not lay down enough. This has direct effect on the health of the cow. A cow is supposed to lay down at least 14 hours a day, when a cow is standing too long or too many hours a day the cow will get problems with its hoof as a result. Also a cubicle with wrong bedding has bald and swollen heels as a result.

The new Twinpress contains of two screws and is therefore extremely suitable for hard to dry press products. The products vary from grass to tomato stems. Besides those products, the Twinpress is unique because it can press plastic or rubber in order to separate the adherence water from the product. The screws keep themselves clean, so the machine can dry press extremely wet products without getting clogged. Products with a lot of pollution can be dry pressed with ease with the Twinpress.
Regular separator screens are made of INOX steel. The screens of the Twinpress are made of a special kind of hardened steel, so pollution because of small gravel is no problem.
